Skyline won its second straight game in the Sam Barlow Christmas Tournament in Gresham, Ore., Tuesday night, beating the host school 50-39.
The Spartans were led by a balanced scoring attack. Cory Hutsen had a team-high 10 points, while eight other Skyline players put points on the board. Will Parker had nine and Austin Weige had seven.
Skyline defeated Sherwood, Ore., 64-54 the day before. Hutsen had a game-high 23 in the victory.
The Spartans play for the tournament championship tonight.
Eastlake drops Surf ‘N Slam opener
Eastlake enters today’s final round of the annual San Diego Surf N’ Slam tournament with a 1-1 record. The Wolves fell 42-38 to Scripps Ranch, Calif., on Monday during the opening round, before battling back to beat Saguaro, Ariz., 73-66 on Tuesday. Eastlake faces Burlingame, Calif., in the final round of the tournament today. The winner takes home fourth place in the eight-team “Slam” bracket, the loser finishes in sixth.
