Issaquah junior Audrey Thomas was named to the All-Region team by the NSCAA, which awarded Skyline head coach Don Braman as Coach of the Year for Big Schools.

Issaquah junior named to All-Region team

Issaquah junior midfielder Audrey Thomas has been named to the NSCAA All-Region VIII team for 2011, making her only one of two players from Washington to be named to the team.

Thomas finished 2011 with 10 goals and 11 assists, including a trio of two-goal games to lead the Eagles to a 7-1-2 conference record and a spot in the 4A state tournament.

Skyline head coach wins national honor

Skyline girls soccer head coach Don Braman has been named NSCAA Girls Big-School Coach of the Year for 2011.

Braman led the Spartans to a 18-0-2 mark and the class 4A state championship with a 1-0 win over Bellarmine Prep. Skyline did not allow a single goal in four state tournament matches, outscoring opponents 5-0 en route to a third state championship in the past four seasons.

Issaquah 60 Redmond 68

The Eagles led by seven at the break, but were unable to hold on as Redmond stormed back in the final two periods to pick up the 68-60 Crest Division win.

Nick Price paced Issaquah with 23 and Ryan Sexton added 13 more in the loss.
