The organizers of the Issaquah Salmon Days Festival are looking for a special piece of artwork to promote this year’s event.
And, in the tradition of the festival, now in its 40th year, they want to keep it local.
In previous years the festival has produced a limited edition print.
This year they are looking to create a special Artist Edition retail item, something which represents the city and the festival, and recognizes the 40 year anniversary.
“The item might be a special shirt, tote, poster or other appropriate application, keeping with our tradition of celebrating our festival, our salmon, and our local and regional artists,” said Pauline Middlehurst, one of the many residents behind the annual event.
Submitted artwork can be done in almost any medium that can be reproduced for print, screenprinting and, perhaps, even embroidery.
Submissions must be original, completed artwork not previously used in any commercial reproduction.
Artwork will be selected by the Festival Office staff with the assistance of the Festival’s graphic designer for final use/reproduction.
Selected artist will be compensated for artwork based on final usage, i.e., public recognition, monetary, final item samples.
Artwork may be submitted my mail, on disk, electronically or in-person.
Electronic submissions should be saved as jpeg, eps, psd or pdf files (min. 300dpi).
All artwork must be received at the Festivals Office, 155 NW Gilman Blvd., Issaquah WA 98027 or vendorinfo@salmondays.org no later than 5pm, June 5.
All original artwork will be returned to artists upon final selection and selected piece will be returned following production.
