Excessive rain will likely result in flooding on rivers prone to flooding, according to a weather service statement Monday. Between 5-11 inches of precipitation is expected to fall in the western Washington mountains Monday through Tuesday evening. The snow level will rise from 5,500 feet to 6,500 feet Monday, to 8,000 feet Tuesday and fall to around 3,500-4,500 feet late Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Meteorologists estimate 2-5 inches of rainfall across the interior lowlands and 3-6 inches along the coasts Monday through Wednesday, according to the weather service’s special weather statement Monday.
