Eastside Catholic finished the best football season in school history with a 35-3 loss to Bellevue on Friday night in the Tacoma Dome in the Class 3A state title game, ending an unprecedented run in coach Jeremy Thielbahr’s second season.
The Wolverines, which have now won the last five 3A crowns and ten since 2001, were again dominant on defense in holding down Trey Reynolds and a group of Crusaders that entered the game averaging more than 46 points per contest.
Bishard “Budda” Baker scored a pair of touchdowns, while senior quarterback Jack Meggs and running back Myles Jack also added rushing scores for Bellevue.
