March 20
PHANTOM SHOTS: Around 9 a.m., police received a report of gun shots in the middle of the night near the 8200 block of Renton-Issaquah Road Southeast. An officer searched the area and did not observe any shell casings.
SKATE OR DIE: A citizen called police to report teens skateboarding down Northeast Natalie Way in the dark. The officer agreed with the caller that this was dangerous and asked her to call immediately the next time she saw this happening.
VEHICLE PROWL: A car had its window broken and a pocketbook stolen from inside on the 1000 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.
PEARLY WHITE BANDIT: A 30-year-old Renton woman was arrested in connection to the theft of three electric toothbrushes from a business on the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.
SUSPICIOUS CALL: A citizen reported receiving a phone call from a child asking for help. An officer called the number provided and left a message on the voice mail. The citizen was advised to have the child call 911 if he called her back.
MONKEY BUSINESS: While clearing a previous call at the Sunset Ale House, an officer notice a man had climbed onto the awning of the Mandarin Garden. He was warned about trespassing.
CRIMINALLY THRIFTY: An employee of a business on the 6300 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast wanted police present while he asked an extreme couponer to leave the store.
March 21
PARAPHERNALIA: A 35-year-old North Bend man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the city jail on East Sunset Way.
WARRANT: City police assisted county sheriff’s deputies with a felony stop on westbound Interstate 90. Four people were contacted and one 40-year-old Fall City man was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Issaquah.
MOTOR THEFT: A Honda Accord was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Northwest Sammamish Road at a total loss of $900.
ANIMAL CRUELTY: An officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of 11th Avenue Northwest where an intoxicated man was reported kicking his dog. On arrival, the man was gone.
ASSISTANCE: An officer aided a man who had locked his keys out of his car on the 6100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast.
ROUGH RIDER: A driver reported to police that, while he was on the 4700 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast shortly before midnight, a man attempted to open his car door while he was inside. The driver said the man appeared to be on drugs and wanted a ride to an unknown location, stating he needed gas. The driver refused to let him in and the subject ran south, jumped a fence, then headed toward I-90.
March 22
WHAT A CRISIS: An officer was called to the Starbucks inside the Safeway on Highlands Drive Northeast, regarding a customer sitting on the floor. The officer saw a male sitting upright against a wall. The manager said she didn’t want him removed from the store, but that he would need to sit in a chair if he wanted to stay.
THAT PRICETAG THOUGH: A bicycle was reported stolen from the 300 block of West Sunset Way at a total loss of $3,000.
THEFT: A 47-year-old Redmond man was arrested for the theft of more than $20 of food products from a store on the 1800 block of 10th Avenue Northwest.
March 23
ACCIDENT: A driver swerved to avoid an accident with another car and hit the curb, breaking a wheel. AAA was called to assist.
WHO YOU GONNA CALL?: Four cellphones were reported stolen from a location on the 1500 block of Highlands Drive Northeast, at a loss of nearly $2,800.
MOVIE NIGHT: A 35-year-old Sammamish woman was arrested for the theft of more than $70 of films on DVD from a store on the 1800 block of 10th Avenue Northwest.
March 24
POP: A complainant reported that they believed a suspect had stolen pop from a soda machine on the 1700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. However, proof that the person hadn’t purchased anything couldn’t be furnished. The officer verbally warned the suspect to leave for the day.
SQUEE: Police received a request for assistance in catching a small pig that kept running into the road in the area of West Lake Sammamish Parkway.
March 25
SOTALLY TOBER: Staff at a spa on the 6100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast called to have a regular customer removed. Staff said the woman’s husband had dropped her off for an appointment several hours early and she was intoxicated.
FRAUD: A complainant calling from the 200 block of First Avenue Northwest reported receiving a fraudulent phone call from a man claiming to be from the Treasury Department.
WINCH, PINCHED: A winch was reported stolen from an address on the 5200 block of 236th Place Southeast, at a total loss of $500.
DISORDERLY: A 22-year-old Seattle man was arrested for disorderly conduct in a verbal domestic on the 100 block of Newport Way Northwest.
March 26
GARAGE: A garage was burgled on the 300 block of Third Avenue Northeast. Multiple tools were taken.
A LITTLE PUSH: An officer assisted in getting a disabled vehicle out of the roadway near the intersection of Northwest Gilman Boulevard and Fourth Avenue Northwest.
MEDICAL: An officer summoned Eastside Fire and Rescue after witnessing a male fall to his knees after exiting his vehicle on the 100 block of East Sunset Way.
WHAT A BARGAIN: A 27-year-old Kenmore man was arrested for the theft of a $1 Rice Krispie Treat from a business on the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.
