Beginning in the 2014-15 school year, St. Monica School on Mercer Island will align more closely with the Issaquah School District calendar, changing its early release day from Monday to Wednesday to coordinate with STEM planning, according to Principal Anca Wilson.

Approximately 25 percent of the students at St. Monica School are from the Issaquah/Sammamish area.

“This small change will greatly improve the ability of the faculty and staff to coordinate our STEM + the Arts project planning, while giving our St. Monica students the opportunity to participate in after school activities that are tailored to the early Wednesday release schedule, which most schools currently follow.”
