Eastside Fire & Rescue promoted three of its firefighters this month.

Cpt. Craig Hooper, who joined the department in 1991, has been promoted to battalion chief.

Lt. Jonathan Parkinson, who joined EF&R in 1998, has been promoted to captain.

And firefighter Daniel DeGidio, who joined the department in 1987, has been promoted to Lieutenant.

The three new officers exemplify the best candidates that went through the promotional testing process. A formal ceremony will be held in their honor on June 8, at 9 a.m. at headquarters, located at 175 Newport Way NW in Issaquah.
