It will be a pair of all-too-familiar faces for the 4A girls state championship on Saturday at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup, as distict rivals Skyline and Issaquah face-off for the second time this year with the state’s largest stakes on the line.
The Eagles topped Camas 2-1 on a pair of late scores, one from two-time defending league MVP Audrey Thomas and the deciding strike off the foot of Annie Hoffman in overtime with the final seconds ticking away.
Skyline won the first semi-final of the evening by the same count over Tahoma and will be after their fourth state championship in five years when they again face Issaquah.
A 4 p.m. start is scheduled in Puyallup, with the third-place game set for a noon start between Camas and Tahoma.
