Update: The King County Medical Examiner’s Office determined William “Reed” Probus, 27, drowned Feb. 14. The manner of his death has not yet been determined. Probus’ parents reported him missing from their Sammamish home Feb. 14; his body was located in Beaver Lake Feb. 17, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Since Dec. 14, 2015, the department has received 34 reports of someone prying open locked mailboxes within the city. There are likely more incidences between then and Wednesday not represented in those 34 reports, Albright said. Additionally, those reports can include more than one mailbox being prowled.
