The old Albertson’s grocery store on the northeast corner of Southeast 56th and East Lake Sammamish Parkway in Issaquah, soon will be home to the Spirit Halloween store.
It will open sometime in September and close a few days after Halloween, said Jim Alexander, vice-president and partner in Merlone Geier Partners, a private real estate investment firm which is hoping to find a permanent tenant soon.
At one point, it was thought that Value Village would move into the site. The building has been vacant for five years.
The 49,516 square-foot building is too large for Spirit Halloween, but Alexander said they rented it for the Halloween season last year and used curtains to reduce it to 10,000 to 15,000 square feet. It is located at 5530 E. Lake Sammamish Parkway.
