Boeing cartoon not appropriate

I am not a Boeing employee or employer, but a retired businessman. Your 777X cartoon was ill advised and not appropriate in today's business environment.

Boeing and the state of Washington are trying to create jobs. Jobs pay income taxes and support the local communities and merchants. Other cities in the world are competing for those jobs and a new Boeing plant.

The UAW in Detroit didn’t look around when it demanded higher and higher wages in the 1960s. It thought it was the only ones who knew how to build cars. We know how that story ended.

Look around, especially at Japan, Brazil, China and European Airbus Industries. They all build very good competitive aircraft. Then look over your shoulder at Los Angeles and Charleston.

The cartoon was too over the top, especially after the union voting outcome on Nov. 13. The Washington state economy and citizens all lost because of that vote.
