Recently, I have observed two incidents of “dumping” in Sammamish: one at the Soaring Eagle trailhead off of Main Street and one across from my house on 226th. Avenue Northeast.

By “dumping” I mean that someone dropped off unwanted items of furniture by the side of the road that they were unwilling to dispose of themselves in an appropriate manner. In both instances, the items were in good condition, and could have/should have been donated to a charity.

For those of you who are tempted to just drop your items by the side of the road, please consider that there are several charitable organizations in close proximity who would love to have your lightly-used and unwanted items. Please be responsible.
