Health care reform

The current health care system in the United States is in need of major reform. It is imperative that all citizens of the United States are provided with affordable health insurance. Today, millions of Americans are living without any form of health insurance, which is unacceptable. In addition, the reformed health care system needs to protect Americans from the insurance companies.

Health care should not be run by businesses that care more about personal gains then an individual’s health. It is disturbing that half of all personal bankruptcies filed each year in the US are due to the high cost health care expenses.

In addition to the problems listed above, there are a number of other problems within the current health care system.

One is occurring within hospitals around the country; the growing trend of the uninsured population using emergency rooms as their primary source of health care.

Not only is this a very costly and inefficient form of basic health care, but if this problem continues to persist, health care costs, as well as the number of uninsured Americans, will continue to increase.

The current health care system is a great problem that needs to be solved and Obama’s health care reform bill is a step in the right direction. Obama’s health care reform bill is addressing several of the issues discussed above and is working to end discrimination within the health care system.

Please support it by telling Congress that the United States needs to reform health care now.
