Input sought on parks

Citizens for Sammamish is working with the Parks and Recreation department to ensure the needs of older adults are considered in their new six year plan. This is an excellent time for the city to hear from this population regarding community services, such as a center where older adults can socialize, take classes and remain involved in our community. Historically a more youthful city, Sammamish is considering ways to support our Baby Boomer population as they transition from active work life to active retirement.

Residents have multiple methods available for providing your input: Attend a “Have Your Say in How We Play” meeting in your neighborhood — visit www.ci.sammamish.wa.us for dates and locations.

Call Parks Administrative Assistant Janie Marie at 425-295-0585, or send your thoughts via e-mail to Parks and Recreation Director Jessi Richardson at jrichardson@ci.sammamish.wa.us. City council members are eager to understand your needs – call city hall at 425-295-0500 or visit www.ci.sammamish.wa.us to contact the council, or include citycouncil@ci.sammamish.wa in your e-mail to the Parks Commission.

Thank you for taking the time to help Sammamish adapt to our changing demographics.
