Issaquah needs real football coach

How many more times does Issaquah have to lose to Skyline before there is a major coaching change?

How many more times does Issaquah have to lose to Skyline before there is a major coaching change? Counting last year’s loss, Chris Bennett has lost seven straight times to Skyline.

I know Bennett is a heck of a nice guy, but he really hasn’t won anything. Everyone around Issaquah football treats him like a god and walks on eggshells around this guy like he’s Don James.

Sure he’s really good at blowing out lesser teams, but if you’re hanging your hat on the fact that Bennett can make it to the play-offs every year, that doesn’t mean anything. It’s easy to make it to the play-offs when you schedule a bunch of pansy non-conference teams to help your overall record.

If mediocrity is acceptable for Issaquah football than by all means keep the guy. But if Issaquah is ever going to get back on its feet and be a football powerhouse again we need to move forward and bring in a real football coach that can produce wins.
