In reading over the old do-nothing council we have up here I cannot believe the lies I have read.

The current council — what have they done to progress the city? Do we have any businesses up here that were not here before Sammamish became a city? Look around. All you have gotten is a lot of promises that “Oh, we are going ahead with a Town Center.” Where is it? Still on someone’s drawing board.

If you are in the age group a lot of us are in you will never see anything done but maybe be in your grave, and we do not even have a graveyard.

Look at Covington and the Issaquah Highlands. That is progress, not a bunch of talkers and more meetings with “Oh yes, we are going to do something.” You can also put in the planning commission up here, in this joke called going ahead.

We have a chance to get rid of the old gang and put in some business people that hopefully can get things rolling so what ever you do, remember, a vote for an incumnant is just another vote to do nothing.

Your mayor has been in there 10 years and he has done nothing but sit and smile at meetings.

We need action, not another excuse that he will do better next time.

It’s time he goes down the tube with the rest of the do nothing council — we have and get fresh blood in there, along with getting some people in the planning commission that will get things started.
