I’m starting to see many political signs on our overcrowded and ill-planned roadways and arterials. Each sign reminds me of how important it is to vote and change the make-up of the present city council.
As an environmental advocate for many years, I trust Mark Cross. He is a tried and true supporter of the environment in Sammamish.
Because this election truly matters, I have studied the candidates closely. Ramiro Valderrama, Christie Malchow, and Tom Hornish have earned my vote.
I would like to see the trail completed in my lifetime. Thus, I am supporting Tom Vance and Mark Cross.
I would like to add though that much of my support for Ramiro is because of his caring and compassionate approach to governance.
I trust Mark Cross because he has experience governing our city and he is a proven protector of the environment. Vote for Mark Cross in our upcoming election.
My gold standard for Sammamish City Council has been Ramiro Valderrama. Tom Hornish is a man of similar quality.
If you want a government that works for you, one that does things for you, not to you, vote for Ramiro Valderrama for Sammamish City Council.
My family supports Tim Flood for Issaquah City Council because Tim’s idea of Issaquah includes all of Issaquah’s outlying neighborhoods, unlike Bill Ramos, whose vision of Issaquah is limited to Issaquah’s downtown core.
I saw with interest (and a lot of confusion) the new “rules” for the toll lanes on I-405. I think the IRS code is simpler. Why not have one sticker for everything? And, oh yeah, make the tolls simpler.
Mark Cross is running again for the Sammamish City Council. He served two terms (eight years) before taking the last four years off. Now, he wants back on. We need a fresh perspective, not one that is 12 years old.
The city council needs Hornish’s drive and determination, not a passive, neglectful approach exhibited by Vance. Vote for Tom Hornish in the Nov. 3 election.
A recent letter by Lee Woods made several false statements about Tim Flood. After my initial knee-jerk response to his letter, where I commented online, I went home and did a little bit of research about Tim and what he has done within the community.
Most successful business leaders have mastered the art of effective communication and teamwork. Those at the apex of a successful business must have more.
This idea is from a guy who doesn’t volunteer in any capacity, has no credentials in transportation and offers no further info than “I looked at the data.” He created a viable transportation package? I doubt it.
The ayatollah of Iran, like Rev. Mike Huckabee, is not a government official and like Huckabee is free to make whatever statements he wishes.
There are two articles in the Sept. 11 issue of the Reporter that once again depict the spirit of our two communities.
Sammamish has suffered for years at the hands of irresponsible management and a city council that works in the interest of that management and development, instead of us the citizens. I have taken all I can stand. I am sickened by what has and is going on all over the plateau.
Prepare to have a fight on your hands — Our “enlightened state of Washington” has a very well informed population.
