This past June, my wife and I drove from Tucson, Ariz. to Issaquah to attend the graduation of our grandson from Skyline High School. Over the years, we have attended about 20 different graduation ceremonies from various high schools and colleges. This most recent one of Skyline High school was undoubtedly the worst one we have ever witnessed.
Once Ramiro Valderrama became a council member he began the effort to make the East Lake Sammamish Trail design for future phases compatible for all stakeholders.
As a 30 year resident living off of Sahalee Way, frequent dog walker, commuter, and mom I have to respectfully and whole heartedly disagree with Tom Hornish’s assessment of the Sahalee Way Project and Mayor Vance’s “unguided spending spree”.

This is not uncommon. Of the nine high schools, nine middle schools and 13 elementary schools I contacted in the district, only about a third of them have school gardens which students have the opportunity to participate in directly.
There are many local businesses that not only serve Issaquah and Sammamish, but also support many of the activities that take place in both of our cities.
