Art Uncorked coming to Mercer Island

Art Uncorked, a new wine and art event, will debut on Mercer Island Sept. 12 with wine, art, food and music.

 

Art Uncorked, a new wine and art event, will debut on Mercer Island Sept. 12 with wine, art, food and music.

The 6-9 p.m. event, presented by the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce and the Mercer Island Visual Arts League, will benefit the scholarship programs of both groups.

The wine, art and more will be at Southeast 78th Street and Sunset Highway in downtown Mercer Island.

Ten Washington state wineries will be pouring two or more of their wines under tents along 78th Street , while juried artists will be showing and selling their paintings, sculptures and more in booths along Sunset Highway.

Wines poured will be available for purchase at a 10 percent discount.

Several food trucks will provide everything from snacks to full meals. And live music will contribute to the festive mood.
