ArtEAST is offering a holiday open house this year at its new location on Front Street Dec. 4 with art, live music, refreshments and cheer.

Patrons can view the work of more than 80 local artists in the expanded Up Front Gallery, and meet the art instructors to find out about new class offerings.

Then join the Downtown Deck the Halls celebration, including a tree-lighting ceremony, caroling and hot chocolate at 5:30 p.m.

Come early for a free art appreciation lecture, “Winter Wonderland,” by art historian Susan Olds at 1 p.m.

The event is from 1-6 p.m., Dec. 4, 95 Front St. N.
