Promoting better relationships through sharing knowledge and a few pints of beer, locals gathered Tuesday night (March 22) at the Issaquah Brewhouse for Trivia Night fundraiser.
The event was an effort to support efforts by the Issaquah Sister Cities Commission and the American Moroccan International Exchange (AMIE).
Proceeds from Trivia Night will be used for programs that will further strengthen Issaquah’s relationship with its sister city of Chefchaouen, Morocco.
Questions about Issaquah’s sister city, Chefchaouen, Morocco — what colors are in the Moroccan flag? (red and green) — stumped a few members of the audience, but players could always solicit a hint from organizers for an additional dollar or two donation.
The mission of the Issaquah Sister Cities Commission is to promote international goodwill and understanding through people-to-people diplomacy, education and cultural exchanges.
