The Issaquah Singers, will present a concert, “Sing, Sing, Sing,” at 7:30 p.m. on June 6, at the Pine Lake Covenant Church in Sammamish.

Admission is free.

Songs on the program include “I Got Rhythm,” “Daddy Sang Bass,” “Listen to the Music,” “Irish Lullaby,” “Song, Sung Blue,” and others.

“Music helps us express feelings, soothes our agonies, and reminds us of a time when a particular song held meaning for us,” said The Issaquah Singers’ Dorothy Hay. “In aging seniors, the part of the brain that stores music is the last to deteriorate. So it is no wonder that composers over time have written so many songs about the power of music to uplift and inspire our souls.”

Since 1976, Issaquah Singers has, without charge for their concerts, brought the joy of music to senior living centers and civic events.

All members, the accompanist and the director of this mixed choir are volunteers.

There are no auditions to join — anyone who can match a pitch is welcome to attend.
