ArtEAST is going literary with a new series of work that was inspired by the written word.

The project titled “Art of the Written Word” is being done in conjunction with massive posters of book covers the King County Library System has posted throughout Issaquah, including one at the UpFront Gallery.

The free reception is March 11, 6-8 p.m.

Words have been inspiring the visual arts since medieval times, and visual arts have given depth and richness to prose and poem that words cannot do alone.
