Washington State Department of Transportation bridge crews will conduct monthly maintenance work on the State Route 520 Evergreen Point floating bridge early Thursday morning.

Maintenance openings of the bridge drawspan begin Thursday, Nov. 12 at 12:30 a.m. and end at 5 a.m. During this time, drivers can expect the bridge to be closed to traffic for up to 30 minutes at a time. Crews will conduct monthly safety checks and test the bridge drawspan to ensure proper working order.

Drivers will be alerted to possible 30-minute delays by electronic signs on highways that lead to the bridge. Drivers who choose to take I-90 across Lake Washington may encounter intermittent single lane closures in both directions of I-90 between mid-span and Bellevue Way SE for construction work related to the Lake Washington Active Traffic Management project.
