The YWCA lured award-winning actor Helen Hunt to speak at its annual Eastside luncheon.

Hunt’s awards include several Emmys, Golden Globes and an Oscar for Best Actress.

The event helps build YWCA programs, which help women and children in the community to transition from homelessness, find jobs, obtain health care and build life skills.

The Eastside Inspire luncheon is from noon-1:30 p.m., March 15 at the Meydenbauer Center at 11100 NE Sixth St., Bellevue.Luncheon guests are asked to make a $150 donation to benefit the YWCA.
