After the city council passed two ordinances to curb theft and shoplifting in January, the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Business Solutions Webinar with interim Police Chief Paula Schwan to further assist Issaquah businesses.
The webinar will be held virtually via Zoom on Feb. 23, from 2:00p.m. to 3:00p.m., and all local businesses are encouraged to attend. Interim Police Chief Paula Schwan will be present for attendees to have a direct Q&A session.
The purpose of this webinar is to educate businesses about basic strategies that can be taken to reduce the risk of theft and the impact theft has on businesses.
The webinar will go over proactive measures businesses should take to assist with crime prevention, when to call 911 and information and facts that are important to report, and ways in which businesses can assist the police department with investigating suspicious activity. Ways to prevent catalytic converter theft, which has risen during the pandemic, will also be a topic of discussion.
