Three Issaquah students and nine from the Sammamish area are participating in phase one of the Washington Aerospace Scholars Program at The Museum of Flight in Seattle. The program provides opportunities for high school students interested in science, technology, engineering and math.

Neha Saraf and Keith Luu of Issaquah High School and Andrea Liu of Skyline High School are among the 287 juniors from across the state who were accepted into the program.

Joining them are Tyler Eiguren of Eastside Catholic High School, Anumita Bajpai and Mark Milloy of Eastlake High School, Benjamin Keller of Redmond High School, and Andrew Pedroni, Matthew Knuth, Albert Ng, Christian Caldwell and Benjamin Walzer of Skyline High School.

From January through May, the scholars will complete 10 lessons – submitting quizzes, math solutions, essays, and graphics concerning these topics every other week. Scholars will independently select a topic of interest for a final project combining an essay with a graphic. Based on their scores on the Phase One curriculum, up to 160 of the top performing scholars will be invited to an all expense paid Summer Residency at The Museum of Flight in Seattle.
