July 23
SLOSHED STORE SQUABBLE: Three intoxicated subjects were reported to be fighting at 2:13 a.m. in a store in the 100 block of E. Sunset Way. Police arrived and found that the subjects were not in a physical fight.
MIDNIGHT SNACK: A mother called police at 2:51 a.m. from the 1300 block of NE Hickory Lane. She was concerned because she could not reach her 16-year-old daughter. When police contacted her, the woman said that she had spoken with her daughter, who said that she was going to go get some food.
NEIGHBORLY SABOTAGE: A person living in the 200 block of NW Dogwood St. complained at 8:58 p.m. that his neighbors are intentionally harassing him. He said that the neighbor above him exercises, which disturbs him, and that the neighbor below him yells loudly.
July 24
TROUBLING TEXTS: A female from the 900 block of Discovery Circle NE stated to police at 1:50 a.m. that a male subject, who she believed was intoxicated, was texting her. The woman said that the subject had been her friend for the past four years.
EVERYONE EATS BREAKFAST AT 4 A.M.: Police received a call at 3:53 a.m. of a possible fight in progress in the 300 block of Shangri-La Way NW. It turned out that the noise was just a resident cooking breakfast for his guests, who were talking and laughing loudly. A noise complaint had been made about a party in this same neighborhood just a few hours earlier.
BREAKING UP IS NEVER EASY: At 11:34 p.m., police received a report from a male of a verbal argument between the man and his girlfriend. The argument was occurring in the middle of the road at Northeast Harrison Street and 30th Avenue Northeast. When police arrived, the female was no longer at the scene. The male told police that he was breaking up with the female due to her attitude.
July 25
ONE EXPENSIVE EARRING: At 1:02 p.m., an earring worth $87,826 was reported stolen from the 5400 block of 194th Ave. SE.
ILLEGAL MAIL: A citizen came into the lobby of the Issaquah Post Office in the 400 block of Front St. N. to drop off drugs in an envelope that were accidentally put in his P.O. box. Police put the envelope into the Police Department’s evidence room for destruction.
POTTY DOWN: A port-a-potty was tipped over at 7:03 p.m. resulting in $50 of cleaning costs.
July 26
RANDOM VISITOR: An employee from the business “Area of Just Play Kids” in the 1400 block of NW Mall St. reported at 5:23 p.m. that a suspicious subject had visited the business that day. The subject came in, asked random questions, said hi to the kids and left. Police were unable to locate the subject.
July 27
CAUGHT YA: At 1:12 p.m., a 19-year-old male attempted to shoplift two beers from a business in the 100 block of Front St. S. The subject had two beers and was about to leave the store when he was caught and told to return with the beer. He left afterwards. When police arrived the subject was unable to be located.
WORK WOES: A person from a business in the 1400 block of NW Gilman Blvd. told police at 5:43 p.m. that an employee became mad at her because he felt he needed more money for his part in the business. He broke a potted plant and a business cell phone, then left. The woman wanted advice on how to handle the incident. Police talked to her about her options, and she decided to let the angry employee go and seek an anti-harassment order against him.
