King County Elections has opened up its ballot drop box at Issaquah City Hall North.
The drop box will be open to accept ballots 24 hours a day until the close of the spring special election at 8 p.m. April 26.
Ballots have already been mailed out to King County residents for the April 26 special election. The county uses a mail-in ballot system but sets up drop boxes and vans throughout the county as a postage free means of voting.
The April 26 special election will include measures for a more-than-$500 million capital projects bond for the Issaquah School District, a $398 million capital projects bond for the Lake Washington School District and a proposal to combine county Fire Protection Districts 10 and 38 into an Eastside Regional Fire Authority.
A ballot drop van is scheduled to stop at Sammamish City Hall 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 23 and April 25, as well as 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 26. Other locations can be found on the King County elections page at kingcounty.gov.
