Sept. 19

VEHICLE PROWL: At 9:51 a.m. a caller reported the loss of tools, radio and GPS from a KIA Sephia, at a total loss of $350.

FREE MARKET REGRETS: At 12:05 p.m., a caller reported she had given personal information to a Craigslist buyer and regretted doing so.

MOVIE NIGHT CANCELLED: At 5:25 p.m., police arrested a 35-year-old woman from North Bend near the 1800 block of 10th Avenue Northwest. She was suspected in the theft of more than $70 in DVDs, which were recovered by police.

LOUD NOISES: At 9:26 p.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of Newport Way Northwest, where a man was cutting wood in the back of his truck. The officer explained the city had a noise ordinance and the cutting was loud enough to hear several blocks away. The man said he would stop.

Sept. 20

DOMESTIC: At 12:21 a.m., a 59-year-old Renton man was arrested for assault in the fourth degree in connection to a physical domestic on the 1800 block of 12th Avenue Northwest.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: On the 500 block of Front Street South, a series of mailboxes were damaged at a total loss of $2,200.

HOT TUB GRIME MACHINE: At 7:55 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Newport Way Southwest, where a caller had reported people washing their clothes in a hot tub. The officer contacted a male, who advised he lived at the location with his mother.

RECOVERED CAR: An officer followed up with Renton police in regard to a car the latter department had recovered. The Honda Civic had been reported stolen in Issaquah PD’s jurisdiction on Sept. 15. The officer completed an add sheet and the car was removed from the WACIC/NCIC database.

DIAMONDS, NOT FOREVER: At 11:04 a.m., $2,500 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from the 3700 block of Providence Point Drive Southeast.

COMMANDEERED: In separate reports, two paddle boards, valued at $1,200 and $900, were stolen from the 4400 and 4300 blocks of 193rd Avenue Southeast.

THE PLINK HEARD ‘ROUND THE WORLD: At 5:21 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the intersection of Wildwood Boulevard Southwest and Sunrise Place Southwest, where kids and parents were reported shooting BB guns.

BURGLARY: A camera, valued at $1,000, was stolen from the 500 block of Mountain Park Boulevard Southwest.

QUICK CLEAN-UP: Shortly after 10 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the intersection of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast and Southeast 56th Street, where someone had reported a female removing a vacuum from a donation area. The caller had provided a license plate number. The officer drove to the associated address. The vacuum was returned.

ALCOHOL: Sometime before 8:54 p.m., alcohol was stolen from a location on the 1000 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.

Sept. 22

WONKA SHRUGGED: At 6:32 a.m. an officer took a report of stolen candy, valued at a dollar, from a Jeep parked on the 5600 block of 229th Avenue Southeast.

CRAZY TAXI: At 8:13 a.m. an officer was dispatched to Newport Way Northwest, where a caller had reported a taxi driving erratically. The caller believed the driver had been drinking. The vehicle was gone by the time the officer arrived.

HOT MERCHANDISE: A welder and generator, valued at $19,000, were stolen from a location at the intersection of Northwest Stoney Creek Drive and Shangri-la Way.

PREVENTIVE MEDICINE: An officer asked dispatch to set up a patrol in the area of the upper Chopaka apartments, after the residential manager requested attention due to recent car prowl activity in the area.

Sept. 23

AUTO THEFT: A silver Honda Civic was stolen from the 200 block of Southwest Clark Street.

SUSPENDED: Police arrested a 30-year-old Puyallup man following a pullover for a traffic offense near the intersection of Shangri-la Way Northwest and Northwest Boulder Way Drive. The man was found to be driving with his license suspended in the third degree.

GENTLE BEN: At 3:20 p.m., a bear was reported on a Highlands-area trail near the 1900 block of 23rd Place Northeast. An officer asked dispatch to notify Fish and Game, as well as the nearest school. The officer did not request the school be locked down.

Sept. 24

THAT KIND OF DAY: An officer responded to the 100 block of Sunset Court Northwest, where a garbage truck had backed into an unoccupied vehicle, causing minor damage. The driver had already contacted the owner, and his safety manager was en route to complete an insurance exchange with the owner.

HE’S NOT LOVIN’ IT: An officer responded to the 1300 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard, where a white male with a pony tail was reported yelling at people inside McDonald’s. He had told the caller that if she came outside she was dead. The cause of the outburst was unknown. On officer arrival, the man could not be located.

THREAT: An officer was dispatched to the QFC on Northwest Gilman Boulevard to respond to a report of threatening behavior. An employee had asked a panhandler to leave and she claimed the man had, in response, lifted his sweatshirt to reveal a gun in his waistband. Officers located the man, who did not have a gun on his person.
