Bede hired as permanent principal at Eastlake

Chris Bede, Eastlake High School’s former associate principal, has officially been hired as the school’s permanent principal after serving in the interim role following Brad Malloy’s sudden departure in February.

Chris Bede, Eastlake High School’s former associate principal, has officially been hired as the school’s permanent principal after serving in the interim role following Brad Malloy’s sudden departure in February.

“I am pleased to share that Chris Bede has been selected to serve as the Eastlake High School Principal,” said Dr. Traci Pierce, Superintendent of the Lake Washington School District.

Pierce said they opened the position to both internal and external candidates, completed a full committee hiring process, a finalist interview process and a site visit.

“I am really excited to become principal of Eastlake High School,” Bede said. “I have worked at Eastlake for seven years as an associate principal and I am honored and humbled to now serve as principal.”
