Bellevue College has hired Ray White as its new Vice President of Administrative Services. He will oversee several functional areas of the college, including finance, the physical plant, public safety, capital projects, and auxiliary services (such as the bookstore, food service and the child care center).
“After two decades of service in Washington’s higher education system, I am honored to now be serving at Bellevue College. I’m excited to be working with such a capable team, and over the coming months, I want to become an expert on this institution and learn how best to contribute to its proud history,” White said.
White holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Western Washington University and a master’s degree in business administration from City University. He comes to Bellevue College from Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, where he served for 11 years as Vice President for Administrative Services, and has 20 years of experience working in the state’s community and technical college system.
An accountant by trade, he began teaching business classes at North Seattle Community College in 1992; in 1999, he left his Seattle practice to become a full-time educator.
