Bellevue College names presidential search advisory committee; Issaquah mayor part of group

The Bellevue College Board of Trustees has approved a 15-member Presidential Search Advisory Committee that includes Issaquah mahyor Ava Frisinger

The Bellevue College Board of Trustees has approved a 15-member Presidential Search Advisory Committee. Trustee Marie Gunn will chair the group, with Trustee Steve Miller serving as vice chair.

Seven members are college employees: Doug Brown, faculty association president; Jennifer Prekeges, chair of the Nuclear Medicine Technology program; Jennifer Stanton, English instructor; Robert Herbruger, control technician; Tom Nielsen, vice president of instruction; Glenn Jackson, manager of the Career Exploration program; and Brandon Anderson, associated student government president. Bill Kent, president of the Bellevue College Foundation, is also a member of the committee.

Community members participating on the Search Advisory Committee are: Gary Plano, superintendent of Mercer Island Public Schools; Ross Hunter, 48th District representative; Kristin Rhodes, west regional general manager of Microsoft; Sheila Edwards Lange, vice president of minority affairs and vice provost for diversity at the University of Washington; Fred Kiga, Amazon; Earl W. Overstreet II, past chairman of Bellevue Chamber of Commerce; and Ava Frisinger, mayor of Issaquah.
