DRIVING WITH AK-47: At approximately 1:27 a.m., police pulled over a white Toyota Scion for negligent driving in the 2900 block of 228th Ave. SE. Police found an unloaded, unconcealed AK-47 in the back seat of the vehicle. A background check showed that neither of the vehicle’s subjects were convicted felons and were legally able to transport a firearm. Police released the subjects once they properly stowed the firearm.

CAR PROWLERS SCARED AWAY: At 4:35 a.m., police responded to a report of potential car prowlers in the 100 block of 247th Ave. SE. The reporting party yelled at two male subjects wearing dark T-shirts and jeans who were prowling his neighbor’s car. Police reported the suspects fled at a speed that was double the speed limit.

STOLEN JEWELRY: At 9:45 a.m., jewelry was reported missing after residents in the 24300 block of SE 41st Lane had a contractor in their home to do plumbing work.
TRAILER SCAM: At 10:37 a.m., a resident in the 2200 block of 216th Ave. SE who was shopping for a trailer found an ad for a 19-foot Airstream trailer. He paid $2,500 for the trailer, though later discovered he was scammed when it never arrived.

BROKEN WINDOW BURGLAR: At 10:40 p.m., police responded to a possible residential burglary in the 1500 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway SE. The suspect, believed to be a previous tenant, may have entered the residence through a window with a broken lock.

IDENTITY THEFT: At 2 p.m., a resident in the 23200 block of NE 21st Place reported their personal information had been used to open a banking account.
CAR PROWL AT COMMUNITY CENTER: At 6:10 p.m., police responded to a report of a car prowl at the Pine Lake Community Center parking lot, located in the 21300 block of SE 20th St. The suspect broke in through the front passenger window.
Nov. 15
IDENTITY THEFT: At 2:09 p.m., a resident in the 20500 block of NE 31st St. reported his personal information had been used in an attempt to open several different credit cards, which he initially did not report. About a month later, someone used his checking account number and social security number to make a wire transfer of $405.
ASSAULT WARRANT: At 10:50 p.m., Sammamish police arrested a male subject in the 4000 block of 255th Place SE on an outstanding assault warrant.

STEALING BOOZE: At 1:38 a.m., a male subject was arrested for stealing liquor at the Safeway located at 630 228th Ave. NE.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: At 11:30 a.m., police responded to a report of people inside a running vehicle that was parked suspiciously across from a residence in the 2100 block of 279th Drive SE.
Nov. 18
VANDALISM: At 4:44 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism at the Sammamish Public Storage, located in the 23000 block of NE 8th St. A rear wall at the facility had been tagged.
NO LIGHTS, NO LICENSE: At 6:54 p.m., police stopped a vehicle in the 24700 block of SE Issaquah-Fall City Road. The vehicle was operating with no taillights. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license and had two criminal warrants. The driver was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
TITLED ‘TOTAL LOSS’: At 11:49 p.m., police stopped a vehicle that was listed with a title of “insurance total loss” in the 23200 block of SE 42nd St. A 17-year-old was driving the vehicle home. The teen was informed to stop driving the vehicle until the insurance company had been contacted, the title to the vehicle was turned over and the department of licensing had been contacted.

STOLEN TABS: At 9:15 a.m., police confiscated plates from a vehicle in the 25700 block of SE 32nd Place for having possible stolen tabs.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: At 6:01 p.m., police responded to a report of domestic assault in the 3600 block of 255th Lane SE. A husband assaulted his wife and son, slapping his wife in the face multiple times.
Nov. 20
DRUNKEN FIGHT: At 8:36 a.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 4000 block of 252nd Ave. SE. Subjects at the residence had an overnight party where alcohol was consumed. The party appeared to have gotten out of hand and a mutual fight started.
