Through a partnership with the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce, Issaquah Schools Foundation and King County WorkSource, Issaquah School District students in grades 10-12 can attend the Great Careers event May 1.
Students will hear about a variety of career pathways that begin with a certificate, two-year degree, or apprenticeship. Speakers from technical colleges, community colleges, and certificate programs, along with recent graduates of these programs, will share information and experiences with students.
Careers that will be showcased include: Aerospace manufacturing, green technology, plumbing, automotive, healthcare, real estate/property management, beauty/cosmetology, hospitality, veterinary assistant/vet tech, culinary and video production.
The event is free for students; transportation and lunch are provided. Students must sign up through their school’s college and career center. Tiger Mountain students must register through their counselor.
