Sammamish residents came through in a big way during the Eastside Mayors Month of Concern. They raised 22,868 pounds of food for local charities from Sept. 15 to Oct. 13.

Contributors included the Sammamish Safeway, Pine Lake QFC, Klahanie QFC, TLC Academy, Lucky Jacks’ Latte, Plateau Wellness, LDS Issaquah (Wards 2, 3, 6), the Eastlake High School cheerleaders and Rachel Carson Elementary. City employees Melonie Anderson, Dawn Sanders, Sammamish Mayor Tom Odell and several other city volunteers.
