Officials with the city of Issaquah this week announced a delay in the process for the Park Pointe land swap and preservation deal.

City Council action had been expected by Dec. 1, but because of the “many moving parts” involved, leaders have decided to push things back.

Citing the need to make sure that the community and all other stakeholders have time to share their thoughts, as well as the need to allow discussions with Microsoft and Swedish Hospital to continue, officials say this is a necessary step.

“We expected to face hurdles along the way, and so far, it’s impressive to see how much the city and its stakeholders have accomplished in such a short amount of time,” said City Administrator Leon Kos.
