Cold weather coming to Issaquah, chances low for snow

Issaquah is gearing up for the cold winter weather, as some weather forecasts suggest snow could be a part of the Seattle area commute Friday.

Issaquah is gearing up for the cold winter weather, as some weather forecasts suggest snow could be a part of the Seattle area commute Friday.

Chances are of snow are low, and the convergence zone will likely be north of Seattle tomorrow, but there is a possibility, according to the National Forest Service forecast.

It calls for rain and a high of 39 Friday, and a showers with a low of 28 Friday night.

The city posted tips for navigating snowy weather. In the event it does snow, residents are encouraged to check maps for snow plowing priorities, before driving.

Drivers who do get stuck in the snow are discouraged from abandoning their vehicles, as it would cause traffic problems, and police would have the car towed.

The city also encouraged drivers to check their vehicle’s battery, brakes, tires, lights, wipers, oil and radiator fluid/hoses to ensure they are ready for ice and snow.
