Issaquah to conduct phone survey

During the month of July, a telephone survey will be conducted for the city of Issaquah’s Aquatic Facility Feasibility Study.

The survey will ask several questions, and will specifically ask what residents think about pool amenities and their satisfaction with existing facilities.

City officials want to know what residents hope for the future of aquatics in Issaquah. Two public meetings are also scheduled for September 23 and October 22 about the issue.

A final report for the Aquatic Facility Feasibility Study is scheduled to be completed in early December.

Community members are invited to help support the Issaquah Schools Foundation today at the “Kool Kreme”/Krispy Kreme.

The store will celebrate its new soft serve — Kool Kreme — by donating sales from all “very vanilla” and “deep chocolate” cones purchased today to the foundation.

“We are delighted, of course, to partner with them,” said Robin Callahan, executive director of the foundation. “We think it’s a wonderful, innovative way to help support the foundation.

The money raised will likely go toward helping fund efforts such as the VOICE mentoring program and after school programs, Callahan said.

The store will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 6210 East Lake Sammamish Parkway S.E.
