Fifth graders at Creekside Elementary School in Sammamish are holding a used shoe drive through Nov. 1. Proceeds will help others, promote awareness for repurposing used goods, and raise money to offset the cost of fifth grade camp. The fifth graders hope to collect 17,500 pairs of gently worn shoes.

Each spring, the school’s fifth graders attend a three-day camp.

People can drop off shoes at the school, 20777 S.E. 16th St.
