The end is near, but there’s still time for you to bring a gift or two to Sammamish City Hall for needy kids. The collection bin is just inside the front doors of, right next to the Sammamish Police Department.
“We’ve been helping out with ‘Toys for Tots’ since 2005,” Deputy Amy Jarboe said. “And it feels great every year to see the pile of gifts getting bigger and bigger.”
Donors are asked to bring in new, unwrapped items. This year’s collection period lasts until the end of business on Thursday, Dec. 12. At that point, this season’s haul will be turned over to the U.S. Marine Corps, the sponsors of Toys for Tots.
“I hope everyone will think about those kids this year,” Jarboe said. “It doesn’t take much to brighten up their holiday season, so I hope we have another strong year here in Sammamish.”
