The following information was compiled from Issaquah and Sammamish police reports:
Soon after a belligerent drunk man cussed out a female Police officer and fled, another officer pushed him into the Issaquah Press building and the female officer tasered him.
The man was sitting with another on a bench drinking, about a block from the police station, when an officer rolled by in a patrol car Dec. 30 and saw the open alcohol containers.
By time the officer approached the two men, one of them had dumped out his malted liquor beverage on the ground and apologized, but the other continued to drink. When the officer told him to dump out his drink, he took a swig and dumped it out of the officer’s feet.
The officer knocked the drink out of his hand, and signaled for a second officer to keep watch, while writing a citation.
The first man grew impatient and fled on foot to the Press building. The officers caught up, but had a hard time subduing him, because of all his flailing and several layers of jackets. He heard an officer call “taser,” and after it stopped the officer was able to cuff him. The man then apologized again.
Burglary
A couple’s apartment was burglarized during a move, after they left several items in it while they settled in a new place.
When they returned Dec. 30 to collect the rest of their belongings they found the door unlocked and several items missing. They also found a note saying the unit assessment was finished Dec. 21. The maintenance worker said there was nothing in the apartment when she did her review.
