Drywall-cutting thieves broke into four Issaquah businesses Tuesday morning on the 1500 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.
Instead of breaking into each business separately, the thieves decided to go through the walls, said deputy Chief Steve Cozart.
Police didn’t immediately know how much was stolen, he said, adding, “The damage loss will actually be considerably more.”
It appeared the thieves were after cash, but they didn’t pick their businesses too well–a game store, consultant, acupuncture clinic and law office.
In addition to a small amount of cash, the thieves made off with some candy bars, Cozart said. “People risk going to jail for the stupidest things.”
