Eastridge Church to hand out 1,500 meals Saturday

“November is a natural season we begin to think about the people and things for which we are thankful,” Lead Pastor Steve Jamison said. “But for families with limited resources it can also be a stressful season.”

Eastridge Church has prepared to hand out 1,500 free meals Saturday — alongside haircuts, coats, gloves and copies of the Bible — at its Issaquah and West Seattle campuses.

Turkeys and groceries will be provided to families in need beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. Proof of need will not be required.

Steve Jamison, Eastridge’s lead pastor, said the church has put on the giveaway for 10 years to help families of limited means have a happy Thanksgiving.

“November is a natural season we begin to think about the people and things for which we are thankful,” Lead Pastor Steve Jamison said. “But for families with limited resources it can also be a stressful season.”

The 1,500 dinner packages will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eastridge Church’s Issaquah campus is located at 24205 Issaquah-Fall City Road.
