Eastside Catholic’s Girls Who Code club hosted a Women in STEM panel on Feb. 15 at Eastside Catholic.
The panel, comprised of six women who work in a variety of STEM industries, shared firsthand knowledge of their education and experience. Panelists included:
• Patricia Carroll, a data scientist working to predict the risk of diseases in corn.
• Elizabeth Driscoll, who works with space craft propulsion.
• Vanessa Feliberti, who is a partner general engineering manager for the Microsoft Office 365 team.
• Eastside Catholic alumna Paige Ormiston, a user interface designer for digital products.
• Mary Ellen Smith, a corporate vice president of Worldwide Operations at Microsoft.
• Katie van Zyl, the director of product management at GoDaddy.
Both middle school and high school students were in attendance for the panel.
