Eastside Fire and Rescue firefighters responded to a reported tree fire that spread to a nearby garage on Saturday in the Klahanie neighborhood of Sammamish.

At approximately 1:13 p.m., Eastside Fire and Rescue received the report of the fire, which occured in the the 23800 block of SE 40th Place. Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from the garage and quickly worked to extinguish the fire.

People were inside the home at the time of the fire, though they had evacuated prior to firefighters arriving at the scene. No injuries were reported.

The King County Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene of the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
