The Puget Sound Bloodmobile will be at Eastside Fire and Rescue’s Administrative Headquarters at 175 Newport Way N.W. on July 31, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The bloodmobile will be closed from 1-2 p.m.
Eastside Fire and Rescue is working with the Puget Sound Blood Center to increase awareness in the benefits of being a blood donor.
The Blood Center needs to get its blood supply above four days in order to stay above critical and emergency levels.
To sign-up and schedule a specific time you can contact Jenny Oltmann, firefighter with Eastside Fire and Rescue, at 206-949-8414, or email joltmann@esf-r.org. Walk-ins will be accepted with priority given to appointments. Donors with appointments may experience shorter wait times.
Donors must be in good health, 18 years of age or older, and weigh at least 110 pounds. Anyone 16-17 also can donate with written consent from their parent or guardian.
