Community members are encouraged to learn how to prepare for disasters and join radio operators from Issaquah, Mercer Island, Redmond and Bellevue at the emergency preparedness Field Day 2015 event at Mercer Island’s Luther Burbank Park from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 27. The exact address is 2040 84th Avenue Southeast, Mercer Island. This is the first time Eastside cities and volunteers have come together for the national event, which inspires and teaches communities to help themselves during emergencies.
