Students at Evergreen Academy Elementary School in Bothell and Evergreen Academy Preschools in Bothell, Kirkland and Issaquah recently donated 294 school supplies items to local organization Hopelink.
Throughout the month, students collected backpacks, pens, paper, and other basic schools supplies to support local children as they prepare to go back to school. At the close of the drive, students also helped load the donations into Hopelink’s vehicle when a representative visited the school to collect the items. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping other children.
Hopelink has served homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities in north and East King County since 1971. The organization works to provide stability and help people gain the skills and knowledge they need to exit poverty for good.
